That sure was some "mistake"

November 21, 2008

Well, it’s official. Helen Jones-Kelley won’t be fired, just suspended without pay for 4 weeks.

The governor of Ohio, Ted Strickland, commented on her actions, calling them a “mistake.”

I wonder if “Joe the Plumber” feels like those actions were just a “mistake.”

I have issues with calling Jones-Kelley’s actions merely a mistake. They were clearly malicious in nature, she lied about her intentions, and it is obvious that she lacks sound judgement.

If she worked for me, I wouldn’t keep the woman around. I’d always be wondering…what’s Helen gonna do next?

she would be fired if her political views were different from the governor’s.

I suspect the suspension is merely symbolic. They’ll find a way to make it up to her later when people are no longer paying attention to this story.
