You should be reading the constitution

March 14, 2009

Not only for the United States as a whole – but your state has its own constitution as well.

I’m guilty of having not really given it much thought before – but that our rights are slowly (or in some cases, not so slowly) being yanked out from under us, I think it’s important that we all take a look at what out constitutions have to say.

To start…go take a look at the Preamble for the Constitution in your state.

Here’s mine, from Indiana:

TO THE END, that justice be established, public order maintained, and liberty perpetuated; WE, the People of the State of Indiana, grateful to ALMIGHTY GOD for the free exercise of the right to choose our own form of government, do ordain this Constitution.

Go do it. Make the time.
