Baucus’s Bizarre Behavior

December 29, 2009

I wasn’t there, I didn’t smell his breath, but whether he was drunk on pricey bourbon or just on power, this is still REALLY odd behavior:

(via Hot Air)

My favorite parts are when he repeats himself and adds hand jabs to emphasize his points.  What a way to represent Montana.

Hot air? So he had a drink at lunch like the majority of senators did At lunch. He’s refuting lies with an ounce of passion, and neo-con numbskulls want to shoot him down and smear his character. Suck it.

He’s doing a good enough job of smearing his own character. His behavior was strange, and I’m entitled to call it what it is.

If you want to believe the crap he spews about health care reform, go ahead. I choose to have a mind of my own.

When is it EVER okay for a public servant to be drunk on the job? We have turned into a nation of whimpers and whiners who accept that any and all behavior, regardless of professional ethics and/or personal morals, is acceptable? Tolerance, indifference, and apathy causes the unconditional acceptance of weakness and self-serving behavior. Anyone who will defend drinking on the job, never mind that it is a public servant, has lost their way, if they ever had one. Loyalty is a wonderful characteristic in humans, but where is the line at which humans will not cross? I no longer see any line!
